William Masterton (1825-1885)

William Masterton (1825-1885)

Weaver

William Masterton was a weaver in Forfar, Scotland and is most likely the William Masterton from North Street identified in this case of breach of the peace on a Monday night. Perhaps alcohol played a part.

Genealogy

William Masterton was the eldest child of David Masterton, weaver and coachman, and Margaret Farquhar which places him as part of one of the groups of Mastertons flourishing in Forfar. A fuller genealogy of William Masterton can be found at this link
