Patrick Masterton (fl 1586)

Patrick Masterton (fl 1586)

Culross

Patrick Maistertoun is mentioned in an instrument dated 1586 involving the transfer of ownership of a saltpan lying on the east side of Culross and the owner of the lands of Petticommoun. A later charter describes him as "Patrick Maistertoun in Roissill".

Genealogy

The instrument of 1586 helpfully notes that Patrick Masterton is the brother of Adam Masterton of Easter Grange, who at that time was within a year of his death at the age of 86. This places Patrick as part of the Masterton grouping from Easter Grange and Beath. A fuller genealogy of Patrick Masterton can be found at this link
