Alexander Masterton (1872-1930)

Alexander Masterton (1872-1930)

Church of Scotland Minister

Alexander Masterton, born and educated in Glasgow, became a minister in the Church of Scotland and earns a biographical entry in "Fasti Ecclesiasticae" - an excellent sourcebook for family historians. Sadly he died at the relatively young age of 58, of an ailment that today is rarely fatal - appendicitis.

Genealogy

Alexander Masterton was a member of the large family of ten children born to John Masterton, journeyman blacksmith and later wine and spirit dealer, and Catherine Mackie Murray. They belong to the very large family of Mastertons traced back to Culross. A fuller genealogy of the extended family of Alexander Masterton can be found at this link
